The Different Company has launched its new L’Esprit Cologne Series, a line of four citrus colognes created by perfumer Émilie Coppermann. Tokyo Bloom, After Midnight, Limon de Cordoza, Sienne d’Orange are sold in 90ml (30z) bottles/$120, Eau de Cologne concentration.
Tokyo Bloom
“A refreshing, green Eau de Cologne with basil top notes. Star jasmine and cyclamen petals taint the fragrance with a soft light and an overdose of musk reveals a deep sensual feeling.” It includes notes of basil, dandelion, blackcurrant, jasmine, cyclamen, guaiac wood, musk, amber.
After Midnight
“A sensual fragrance perfect for evenings. A dense luminous and shining fragrance, with intoxicating spices. It gets smoother along the way with a sensual amber base that keeps its promises. For those who dare a lustful cologne.” It features bergamot, angelica roots, neroli, iris, lentisc, white jasmine, labdanum, benzoin, amber.
Limon de Cordoza
“In a whirl of zesty citrusy notes, this perfume unfolds with a flamboyant start, sustained by the freshness of mint leaves. In the base notes, the powerful and intense patchouli brings its elegance and refinement.” It contains bitter orange, mandarin, mint, neroli, freesia, patchouli, vetiver, guaiac wood.
Sienne d’Orange
“A lighthearted fragrance with a joyful orange and carrot accord. This wave of freshness with powdery iris floral notes is the most elegant and sophisticated Cologne ever. With a touch of white leather in the base notes, it reveals its utmost luxury.” The notes are orange, cardamom, carrot seed, iris, leather, musk, wood.

Allegra Smith: My favorite will always be Limon de Cardoza. How can anything go wrong with all the notes that bring Summer and gardens, memories of Spain and to my nose the only thing missing would have been a touch of tuberose. June 10, 2012 at 1:00am

Amer: I haven’t tried any of these yet but the notes sound very intriguing. Tokyo bloom looks like it’s going for the classic-radical recipe bitter greens on musk already featured in several frags (eau de lierre by diptyque comes to mind). I am sure it is going to be wonderful and I love the bachmakov bottles. What I don’t love so much is the price for such small quantity of cologne concentration. In my mind cologne should be the opposite of luxury frag. It is a socialist product that one should be able to use liberaly and without remorse.
After midnight is the other one that caught my fancy with its iris-angelica-jasmine midnight garden accord. Hope the supporting amber is dry and earthy. June 10, 2012 at 11:14am

Gogol: I tried all of these very quickly at Olfattoria in Rome. I’m a huge fan of TDC, but these where very light, very – not very memorable. Sienne d’Orange is the only one I still remember.

Victoria: The other TDC perfumes didn’t impressed me on the blotter. On skin, however, they bloom very nicely. The line on the whole is light, perhaps a touch too light for me. Still, l look forward to smelling these. June 10, 2012 at 2:42pm
