Agent Provocateur is releasing a new fragrance, called Eau Emotionnelle. According to the AP press release, “to create the new scent, the oriental top notes of the Agent Provocateur signature fragrance have been peeled back and refreshed with cape snow bush, lie de vin and pink pepper. The heart has been modified with white tea and Japanese osmanthus and the base accord has been softened slightly.” Eau Emotionelle possesses the sensuality of the original, “yet celebrates her debut as a charming sister to the inimitable signature scent.” The packaging has the same shape and colour as the original, however the bottle will bear a pink net effect finish, trimmed with black lace. Eau Emotionnelle launches in the UK in June, and worldwide later this year.

patchamour: Dear V,
I’ve been enjoying this site for several months, but have just figured out how to post (I hope). Beautifully written reviews and descriptions — esp. the scent-memories. You’ve led me to try all sorts of new ‘fumes, Mitsouko and Feminite du bois being current favorites, to add to my long-time love Black Cashmere. I’ll be going to New York in a couple of weeks (wondering if being over 60 will make this a marathon) — and I’m wondering if you’d recommend a store with friendly clerks where I could try some new sniffs. Merci, Patchamour May 6, 2006 at 1:52pm
BoisdeJasmin: Thank you for a nice compliment! Glad that you are enjoying the site. I am glad that you are enjoying my website. I would recommend Aedes (aedes.com for more information) is a great place, where you can find lots of niche brands and sniff at leisure without being rushed. Takashimaya on 5th Avenue (beauty floor has lots of interesting lines). Caron on Madison, just a block past Barneys. Bergdorf Goodman on 5th–niche, classics, including Guerlain boutique, other interesting lines. These would be the places where I might start. Enjoy your trip to NYC! May 6, 2006 at 1:57pm
patchamour: Many thanks.

BoisdeJasmin: Patchamour, you are most welcome! May 6, 2006 at 11:47pm
BoisdeJasmin: Katie, I am a little bit worried about “softened” and the fact that it sounds like a flanker, rather than an original fragrance. At any rate, I cannot wait to try it. May 6, 2006 at 11:48pm
Katie: I still look forward to it, but “softened?” The whole reason I like the orignial AP is its brash unapologetic character. We’ll see what it turns out be I guess! 🙂 May 6, 2006 at 10:06pm
